Michael Rowell has had a solid grounding in the principles of disability access through his early work in the field of health facility planning. For over 10 years he provided access consultancy services to eligible residents in northern and western Melbourne, and the Wimmera and Mallee regions of Victoria  under the Victorian Government’s SWEP program.

Under the Federal Government’s National Disability Insurance Scheme, Michael Rowell Architects are a registered provider of design, documentation and project management of home modifications.

Bathroom modifications

Bathroom modifications including the provision of stepless showers and wheelchair accessible washbasins are a key element of these home modifications. For those clients who are independently mobile, they provide the opportunity for self-care with dignity. For other clients who require assistance, the modifications facilitate the work of carers.
